PARKMUSIC '04 "New Horizons"

PARKMUSIC '04 "New Horizons" has "musically combined two worlds? (Öffentlicher Anzeiger): Argentinean Tango and contemporary Italian chamber music by Luigi Nono, Luciano Berio, Giacinto Scelsi, Salvatore Sciarrino as well as a premiere of the Swiss composer and guitarist Stefan Feingold. Interpreters: the Italian master of the flute Roberto Fabbriciani, the singer Sigune von Osten, the guitarist Stefan Feingold and also the Quinteto Paternal.

A journey of sound led through the meadow endowed with Erwin Stache's sound objects and music machines. He did not only enthral people by performing with these extraordinary exhibits of sound. Moreover they could try for themselves and play as they pleased: on poles, with small boxes, flower pots, slidable lattice grates, cardboard boxes, which all together formed a dark contrast to the highly grown landscape of the meadow full of flowers and humming bees and insects.

Allgemeine Zeitung: ?from there onwards (of the journey of sound) to the farmyard that was illuminated with candles and fire baskets later in the evening, the audience experienced an event that surely was unparalleled at the "Kultursommer Rheinland-Pfalz".

Öffentlicher Anzeiger: ..."All in all PARKMUSIC presented a multifarious and unique cultural program, with the help of which the audience could approach contemporary music and art in various ways. Sigune von Osten's efforts to reduce threshold apprehension in regards to unusual sounds and to make the unknown to something familiar were fulfilled and met with the audience's approval."
